EASTERN MARKET tower
Set in the year 2077, Eastern Market Tower responds to Detroit’s extreme heat crisis. The structure is designed as a self-contained vertical city, providing everything needed for survival, including: housing, food systems, water collection, and shaded gathering spaces.
Its layered form shields residents from rising temperatures while maintaining light and airflow throughout. The tower stands as a vision for how Detroit’s future architecture could adapt to a changing climate, balancing resilience, community, and design.
